about ballagreyney
Ballagreyney was a working farm up until the 1950’s, it lay neglected until 1995 when the new owners Philip and Kirrie Jenkins began to restore it. Along with two beautiful stone self catering cottages there is a fully renovated Mill, built in 1859, which was formerly used for threshing wheat and barley and now forms the family home.
Ballagreyney is set in several acres of private garden comprising a large number of young and mature trees and a meadow – a haven for wildlife. There is plenty of parking and an area created especially for recreational use, such as tennis and croquet, and sports equipment is provided free of charge. In addition children and adults alike will enjoy the thrill of the zip wire.
Its elevated position gives Ballagreyney commanding views over the southern coastline and panoramic views of the hills to the rear which the family farm. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers and bird watchers with many picturesque footpaths, glens and plantations.
